Record label companies have unlawfully registered copyrights

It has come to our attention that several record label companies have unlawfully registered copyrights for music created by Salah Bonge and fellow artists without our knowledge or permission.

As a result, when we attempt to upload or share our own original recordings, these companies issue copyright claims against us.

This situation has prevented us from freely sharing our own work with the public and has also denied us the rightful royalties owed to the artists.

Such actions are a clear violation of our intellectual property rights and a profound injustice to the musicians who dedicated their lives to creating this music.

We demand immediate accountability, the restoration of our ownership rights, and fair compensation for the unauthorized use of our music.

It is our responsibility to protect the cultural heritage of Somali music and ensure that the artists behind it are respected, recognized, and fairly rewarded.
